Re: [Photoshop-Haven] Re: CS3 vs. CS4---ACR updates?

The one issue I have not seen addressed in this CS3 vs CS4 thread is
Adobe's policy of updating Camera Raw (ACR) only for the current version of
Photoshop.
If I understand it correctly, the most recent update of ACR, which is needed
for the newer generation of high pixel count cameras, will not work with
CS3. You have to get CS4.
Can anyone confirm?
If this is correct, and the original poster has one of the latest cameras,
he might find himself having to upgrade to CS4 immediately in order to
convert his raw files to psd, dng, or tiff format.
I'm not in the market right now for one of the newer cameras (mine are 3 and
4 years old), but when I do, this will be important since I always shoot
raw, and I like ACR.
