Skill Level: Intermediate

Needed:

Plugins:

Simple - Top Left Mirror

Simple - Quick Tile

Available (Here)

Preset shape:

PresetShapes (108).PspShape - div37

Paint brush:

SM Star 1.PspBrush

Optional:

My stars corner.psp

Supplies Available (Here)

Tube of Choice

Preparation:

Install plugin, if necessary

Unzip and save the Preset Shape to

Preset Shapes Folder in PSP,

if necessary

Import the brush to your PSP.

Performance Notes:

All settings will remain the same

unless new settings are given.

To prevent having to scroll back

and forth some may be repeated.

Let's Begin : )

Header

1. File > Open

Your tube

2. Window > Duplicate (Shift + D)

Close original

3. Image > Resize

Settings:

Resample using = Bicubic

Lock aspect ratio = Checked

Resize all layers = Checked

Width & Height = No more than

400 - 450 pixels on the longest

side

*You may need to adjust the size

later depending on your tube

4. Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen

(If needed)

5. Dropper Tool

Left click to select a light color

Right click to select a medium

to dark color

Minimize

6. File > New

Settings:

Width = 500 Pixels

Height = 500 Pixels

Raster Background = Checked

Transparent = Checked

7. Flood Fill Tool

Settings:

Match mode = RGB Value

Tolerance = 0

Use all Layers = Not Checked

Blend mode = Normal

Opacity = 100

Left click to fill with Foreground color

8. Materials Palette

Toggle colors

9. View > Rulers

10. Preset Shape Tool

Settings:

Preset = div37

Retain style = Not Checked

Anti-alias = Checked

Create as vector = Checked

Line style = Solid

Width = 1.00

Join = Miter Join

Miter limit = 15

Starting at the top left corner in

and down 5 pixels draw by pulling

out to 495 pixels and down to 495

*If you look on the bottom of your

screen it is (x:5 y:5) to (x:495 y:495)

*You may now turn your rulers off

if you choose

11. Objects > Align > Center in Canvas

12. Layers > Convert to Raster Layer

13. Magic Wand Tool

Settings:

Mode = Add/Shift

Match mode = RGB Value

Tolerance =0

Use all layers = Not Checked

Contiguous = Checked

Feather = 0

Anti-alias = Checked

Outside = Checked

Select inside the four rectangles

that form the cross or plus sign in

the center of the preset shape

14. Selections > Modify > Expand

Settings:

Number of pixels = 3

15. Layers > New Raster Layer

16. Materials Palette

Toggle colors

(back to original settings)

17. Flood Fill Tool

Right click to fill

18. Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise

Settings:

Uniform = Checked

Noise = 10 (%)

Monochrome = Checked

19. Selections > Selection None

20. Layers Palette

Highlight Raster 2

21. Magic Wand Tool

Select inside the four triangles

22. Layers > New Raster Layer

23. Materials Palette

Set your Foreground to Gradient

Settings:

Foreground-background

Angle = 45

Repeats = 3

Invert = Not Checked

Style = Linear

Texture = Not Checked

24. Flood Fill Tool

Left click to fill

25. Effects > Artistic Effects > Topography

Settings:

Width = 62

Density = 40

Angle = 144

Color = White

26. Selections > Select None

27. Layers Palette

Highlight Raster 1

28. Effects > Illumination Effects > Sunburst

Settings:

Color = Background

Light spot

Brightness = 85

Horizontal = 50

Vertical = 50

Rays

Density = 97

Brightness = 79

Circles

Brightness = 67

29. Image > Add Borders

Settings:

Symmetric = Checked

Size in pixels = 3

Color = Background

30. Image > Add Borders

Settings:

Size in pixels = 35

Color = White

31. Magic Wand Tool

Select White Border

32. Selections > Invert

33. Effects > 3D Effects > Cutout

Settings:

Vertical =0

Horizontal = 0

Opacity = 100

Blur = 10

Shadow color = Black

Fill interior with color = Not Checked

34. Selections > Invert

35. Flood Fill Tool

Left click to fill with Gradient

36. Effects > Artistic Effects > Topography

37. Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel

Settings:

Bevel = 2

Width = 5

Smoothness = 40

Depth = 2

Ambience = 0

Shininess = 10

Color = White

Angle = 315

Intensity = 67

Elevation = 21

38. Selections > Select None

39. Activate your tube

40. Edit > Copy

Close

41. Activate your working canvas

42. Edit > Paste > Paste As New Layer

Optional:

43. Move Tool

Adjust placement if you choose

44. Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow

Settings:

Vertical = 0

Horizontal = 3

Opacity = 75

Blur = 0

Color = Black

Shadow on new layer = Not Checked

*Do not add a drop shadow to a misted tube

45. Image > Add Borders

Settings:

Size in pixels = 3

Color = Background

46. Layers > New Raster Layer

47. Paint Brush Tool

Settings:

Shape = SM Star 1

Size = 21

Hardness = Grayed Out

Step = 25

Density = 100

Thickness = Grayed Out

Rotation = 0

Opacity = 100

Blend Mode = Normal

Continuous = Not Checked

Wet look paint = Not Checked

Right click stars randomly in

the top left corner only putting

them in this corner

*Optional:

You may use mine that are in the

supplies but will need to colorize

them to your background color.

** You may need to close the

background layer on your working

canvas in order to see the stars

once you paste them as a new layer,

so that you can move them to the

top left corner.

48. Effects > Plugins > Simple >

Top Left Mirror

*Optional:

You may add text or accents here

if you choose too.

49. Layers > New Raster Layer

50. Add your watermark

51. Layers > Merge > Merge Visible

52. File > Export > JPEG Optimizer

Settings:

Compression value = 20

(Do not close)

Background

1. Selection Tool > Custom Selection

Settings:

Top = 50

Left =0

Right = 40

Bottom = 450

2. Edit > Copy

(Close Header now)

3. Edit > Paste As New Image

4. Image > Canvas Size

Settings:

Lock aspect ratio = Not Checked

Width = 80 Pixels

Height = 400 Pixels

Placement = Left Center

5. Layers > Duplicate

6. Image > Mirror

7. Layers > Merge > Merge Visible

8. Effects > Plugins > Simple > Quick Tile

9. Image > Canvas Size

Settings:

Width = 1920 Pixels (or your preference)

10. Layers > New Raster Layer

11. Layers > Arrange > Send to Bottom

12. Flood Fill Tool

Right click to fill with Background

color

13. Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise

14. File > Export > JPEG Optimizer

Settings:

Compression value = 20

We are now done. Assemble your letter

in Letter Creator and enjoy your new

stationery.
