Önceleri Tanya’dan Mary’nin aldatıldığını ilk öğrenen olarak Mary’e söyleyip söylememe ikilemini yaşarken, kariyerinin kurtarmak adına dedikodu yazarı Bailey Smith’e Mary’le ilgili malzeme verir. Bunları öğrenen Mary kendini dinlemek için bir kadın kampına gider ve burada Kontes Miller ile tanışır. Buradaki deneyimlerinden sonra Mary artık hayattan ne istediğini bilen birine dönüşür.
1930’lu yılların sonunda piyes ve film olarak yapılmış Kadınlar, Clare Boothe Luce’nin piyesinde onun nefret ettiği kadınlara karşı bir eleştiri olurken, 2000’li yılları uyarlamasında güçlü ve modern kadınların dünyasının şık bir komedisi haline gelmiştir.
