There may be fewer features in the elements version of ACR, but in my
never-so-humble opinion they are all the features you need. You are
using ACR to open the image and not necessarily to correct it (and I
argue generally against using ACR for correction). If you open the
image in 16-bit without making a balls of it by doing too much in ACR,
you will get all the information your camera captured when the image
opens in Photoshop/Elements. Then you can use the standard tools (in
my opinion, better tools -- 'better' which is not the equivalent of
'quicker') to make the adjustments that will be best for the image.
Sliders as you have in Lightroom and ACR are nice conveniences, but I
am not sure that they are the best way to evaluate and treat images.
