Re: [Photoshop-Haven] paint with filter .. is it possible

As I understand it, you have something like a line drawing with black lines
on a white background and you want to paint a color but still have the black
lines show through. The simplest way to do this is to change the brush mode
(in the brush tool options bar just below the menu bar). Try changing it to
Darker, although other choices, especially in the same group may work also.

If that is not exactly your case, you can also try other modes, such as
Screen or Color. Other options include using layers, selections and/or
masking.

For example, you might use the Magic Wand tool to select only the white
parts of the image. Then when you paint with a brush the paint will only be
applied to the selected areas.
