If the CS4 installer won't work on your machine, call Customer Services.
If you use Anti-viral software (as many Windows-users do), that has been known to interfere with installation of CS4.

Hi!
This issue doesn't seem to slow my application down or cause a system crash, but renders system messages as an indication of errors. This has been going on since I first installed both Ai and Ps CS3 springtime 2008 and it is slightly irritating. Just the other day I completly reinstalled my OS X and applications just to freshen up the disk and the issue stayed the same as before.
The Console in Mac OS X reports:
Mar 10 17:14:18 Macintosh [0x0-0xd30d3].com.adobe.Photoshop[1079]: objc[1079]: Class EpicPanel is implemented in both /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS3/Adobe Photoshop CS3.app/Contents/Frameworks/adobe_personalization.framework/adobe_personalization and /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS3/Adobe Photoshop CS3.app/Contents/Frameworks/adobe_registration.framework/adobe_registration. Using implementation from /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS3/Adobe Photoshop CS3.app/Contents/Frameworks/adobe_registration.framework/adobe_registration.
In the archived section of the forum Patricia Minucci reports a similar issue --> Patricia Minicucci, "Hard Freeze" #, 20 Feb 2008 3:16 pm </webx?14@@.3c062d5a>
Any thoughts? ..leave it be or try to trash either component?
Best regards,
Henrik

If none of the above works (all excellent suggestions) try looking for a corrupted saved workspace. That's known to generate a crash message upon quitting Photoshop.
Naturally, this assumes you have tried trashing preferences to no avail.

Hello All,
I have an image that has a clipping path. I used layer styles, and selected stroke to create a think line around the image. The line is jagged. Is there any way to smooth this out. I can't find any options for this in the layer styles box.
Thanks!

The resolution is 72 dpi, this is going into aftereffects.
I am viewing the image at 100%.
Thank You!

Never used AE but 72ppi is 72ppi no matter what app you use. you want smoother look you need higher resolution.

Is it possible to import a series of digital still images shot to record
a stop-motion animation into the Photoshop Extended animation film/video
timeline and set the duration of each still image to 2 frames so that
the timeline can then be rendered into a single movie clip?
Thanks for any advice.

Problem Solved! (at least for me)
Photoshop CS3 was running normally on my system until I reinstalled OS X (10.5.6) and Photoshop. All of a sudden I had the same problem listed here.
The problem does lie in the OS X system mouse settings for double-click speed. You cannot go higher (faster) than the third notch from the right. Adjusting the slider to be on or below the third notch will fix the problem.
IMPORTANT: You must quit Photoshop before adjusting the system preference.
See a screenshot here:

Thanks for sharing your keyboard experience Buko. It's nice to know just in case I have my own keyboard fiasco some day. As it is I wish the only fiasco I had right now was a keyboard one.

Maybe you need to find out what really hot water will do to it. We will consider it an experiment on your dime.

Greets:
I have been expierincing a desktop falling asleep recently all by itself. My mac will run fine for about 3 hours, but then it falls asleep every 2-3 minutes while I struggle to keep it attempting to finish a project.
It first started with PSCS3, then one thing after another started to happen with all applications I tested.
I use current versions of Cocktail, ifreemem (Got that after it all started acting up), and Disk Warrior frequently. I have checked for corrupted fonts using Font Agent Pro, and have tried starting from a single user.
Has anyone ever had this problem on this forum? I suspect bad ram or the hard drive disk going bad. I do realize that 1GB of Ram is pathetic, but I'm just trying to restore this Mac Mini for someone else.
Hardware Overview:
Model Name: Mac mini
Model Identifier: PowerMac10,2
Processor Name: PowerPC G4 (1.2)
Processor Speed: 1.5 GHz
Number Of CPUs: 1
L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB
Memory: 1 GB
Bus Speed: 167 MHz
Boot ROM Version: 4.9.4f0

Buko,
Do you think it would be better to replace the Hard Drive or just purchase a new mac mini?
Thanks for your response.

You know on some units when they get too clogged with dust they will suddenly start shutting down... a reaction to overheating. I wonder if this might be an issue. Have you tried vacuuming out the vents or even better used a putty knife to open up the case and really clean it out? (I don't know this specifically about the Mac Mini, it's just a shot in the dark based on prior experience with other Mac models.)
