[photoshop-beginners] Re: Adobe Annoyance - Follow Up

First, thanks to all the replies. I eventually got through to Adobe by phone and their verdict was that an internal link to the Help.app was broken. They offered to issue a patch for $39.95. I declined because I only access Help maybe once a year or two. In an interesting comment Help in CS4 with just be a link to Adobe's help center. It will look exacly like what you see in CS3, CS2, 7, 6, ... way back, but it will be continually updated whenever Adobe becomes aware of something new that needs attention. I gather that with CS4 (and other new Adobe apps, too) anytime you have a problem, run to web Help and look.

After about a year of use both CS2 and CS3 could not access Help from the menu because the Help application could not be found and it was recommended to re-install the software. Re-installing the software means going through the 'nightmare' of 'authorizing' it with Adobe. This is my annoyance. Adobe produces a great application but when you have to fix some malfunction Adobe imposes great horrors. Anyone know of any ways to get back the Help function short of re-installing and battling Adobe about being on too many computers with the software. Also, anyone know of an email address that gets one into Adobe with a non-technical Photoshop usage issue. This is about the integrity of their software, is it not.
