If you set up a folder on the desktop with one TTF in it will you still get the error?

No.. unfortunately it is not.. I reorganized all my fonts, I did separate them into folders and I tried to load only the TTFs and I got the same error.

I only get this error with FXplorer :(

I tried to get an error from all of my font folders using Font Xplorer, Works just fine. The errors may be from fonts that are not True Type Fonts. Just an educated guess.

It has been a while since I have used it. I thought there was a max number per folder that didn't get the error. I will try it again later and see if I can get the error again.

I used to use this one and I do like it very much, the problem is I allways get an error when I try to load too many fonts. I have more then 50.000 and I really need one that is able to load all of them in subfolders.
How do you do to avoid the error???

Have you tried www.whatthefont.com ? I use that site any time I need to determine what a certain font is.

I am on a Mac so I use FONTBOOK, but I am also pretty GEEKY and know most fonts by site ;-)
